July 4th is just around the corner, and that means the Northwoods is gearing up to celebrate Independence Day!

Our staff has compiled a list of all the festivities taking place in the Northwoods this Independence Day weekend. We wish you a fun and safe holiday.

5th annual Forest County Festival July 1st thru July 3rd
Three days of fun. Free admission. Free carnival rides. Free fireworks and a demolition derby on July 2nd. Camp Crandon will also be open for weekend camping.

The Crandon International Off Road Raceway is making family fun affordable thanks to their partnership with the Forest County Potawatomi. Come one. Come all!

 

 

 

July 2nd Celebrations

Post Lake Fireworks with Music by Quarry Road

Fireworks by the Post Lake Improvement Association shoot off directly in front of Sunset View Resort & Tavern, Food Truck, Beer Tents and music by Quarry Road.

 

July 3rd Celebrations

Post Lake Boat Parade
1:00 to 2:00 pm
Fischer Sunset View Resort
The Boat Parade will begin at Sunset View Resort at 1:00 pm and proceed to Twin Oaks Resort. Dress up your boats and yourself for this entertaining event, or just come along for the ride!

 

Land O’ Lakes Fireworks Show – Gateway Lodge
5:30 to 11:00 pm

5:30 pm Gates open for tailgating and pre-fireworks fun!
10:15 pm The best Fireworks Show in the Northwoods (sponsored by the Phelps/Land O’ Lakes Lions Club)

Gateway Lodge July 3rd Party
6:00 pm to Midnight, at the Gateway Lodge
Food and Drinks will be available outside in the courtyard located off of the restaurant. Music by The Influence 8:00 pm to midnight. They play everything from Chuck Berry, to the Doors, to U2, to Johnny Cash! Please bring your own chair to listen to the music. Stick around to watch the fireworks from the best seats in town!

Star-Spangled Jubilee
July 4, 2022
Boulder Junction – Downtown
Noon to 11:00 pm
Enjoy a parade down Main Street beginning at 12:00 pm, with Lions Club food tent from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Fireworks display at dusk at the Boulder Junction Airport.

Conover Independence Day Parade, Picnic in the Park & Water Ski Show
July 4, 2022
1:00 to 7:00 pm
Enjoy the parade and then head to Conover Town Park for the picnic.
There will be food, refreshments, music, games for kids, and a dunk tank.
End your day with a festive Chain Skimmers Water Ski Show.
Parade: 1:00 pm on Town Road
Picnic: 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Conover Town Park
Water Ski Show: 7:00 pm at Lake Pleasant

Eagle River Party in the Street
July 4, 2022
9:30 am to 9:45 pm
Enjoy live music, food, a beer garden to fund the fireworks and kids’ activities including face painting. Celebrate our Nation’s freedom and Eagle River’s hometown pride by taking in our spectacular parade with over 60 entrants including many specialty floats at 10:30 am.
Enjoy the special Fourth of July water ski show starting at 7:00 pm. Then watch the colorful fireworks shot high in the sky over the Vilas County Fairgrounds at dusk to 9:45 pm.

Manitowish Waters 4th of July Celebration

It’s so good, we wait all year for it! Manitowish Waters has one of the most exciting and patriotic Independence Day celebrations in the region. Make your plans now, and fill your day with red, white, and blue!
9:00 am to 3:00 pm – Activities at the Community Center: Giant kids’ game tent, Arts & Crafts vendors, Trout fishing pond, Food & drinks, Live music and so much more!
1:00 pm – Parade through downtown Manitowish Waters
3:00 pm – Boat Parade at Greer’s Pier Marina

The Phelps 4th of July festivities kick off with a lively and fun-filled parade starting at 3:00 pm and running right through the main street of this picture-perfect town. You never know what imaginative floats and colorful characters you might see in the Phelps parade! Kids love the treats they collect!
The fun continues with the 3rd Annual Boat Parade on North Twin Lake at 6:00 pm.
Finish off the 4th of July celebration with oohs and aahs as the Phelps Fire Department puts on their phenomenal fireworks show, the best in the Northwoods! Watch the fireworks from the comfort of your boat or grab your lawn chairs and blankets on the shore. You can’t ask for a better backdrop than the natural beauty of North Twin Lake, or a better ending to a fun 4th of July celebration!

Rhinelander 4th of July Parade & Fireworks
July 4, 2022
10:00 am to 10:00 pm
The Annual 4th of July Parade will be held in Downtown Rhinelander, and this year’s theme is “Rally Around the Flag”.
The Kiddie Parade begins at 10:00 am on Brown Street, and the Main Parade begins at 11:00 am. Kids will find there’s plenty of candy to catch on the route, and the floats will entertain parade lovers of all ages.
The Fireworks at Hodag Park will start at dusk (around 9:30 pm).

Sayner 4th of July
July 4, 2022
Noon to 10:30 pm
Held throughout the Sayner area, with events in the in the park (Plum Lake Volunteer Fire Department Chicken BBQ serving Noon to 4:00 pm, Parade on Main Street at 3:00 pm, Plum Ski-ters show on Plum Lake 7:00 pm and fireworks at dusk.
