2022 Haunted Houses and Frightfully Fun Happenings
Compiled by Northwoods News Staff
The Northwoods has its share of odd, haunted and creepy happenings.
From the ancient Anishinaabe specter of winter starvation and greed, the Windigo, creepy cryptids of lumberjack lore, herds of “ghost” albino deer, abandoned haunted mansions, ghosts of gangster raids, local paranormal investigators, UFO sightings and encounters, to the only horror film studio in Wisconsin, there is much here to kindle the imagination.
Whether you’re flying solo or bringing the whole family, you are sure to find a unique adventure to enjoy with our guide.
For the younger visitors, we also have a guide to 2022 Halloween Parties and Trick-or-Treating.
