July 4th is just around the corner, and that means the Northwoods is gearing up to celebrate Independence Day.
Our staff has compiled a list of all the festivities taking place in the Northwoods this Independence Day weekend.

June 30th Celebrations
6th annual Forest County Festival
June 30th thru July 2nd
Crandon International Off Road Raceway, Crandon
Three days of fun. Free admission, carnival rides and a huge firework show! $5 parking fee. The Crandon International Raceway is making family fun affordable thanks to their partnership with the Forest County Potawatomi. Come one. Come all!

Price County Rodeo
June 30th and July 1st, 7:30 pm
Price County Fair Grounds, Phillips
Live music before and after the Rodeo on Friday by 8 Seconds and on Saturday by The Positions. Gates open at 5:30 pm. Don’t miss this fun-filled action-packed event! Purchase your tickets online.
Red, White and Boom!
3:30 to 11:45 pm
Rondele Ranch, Harshaw
This family-friendly festival features food and beverage vendors, live music, three bouncy houses and fireworks! Gates open at 3:30 pm to set up lawn chairs. Entry fee is $10 cash per person at the gate, with kids 5 and under free.
July 1st Celebrations
Laona Fire Department Independence Day Picnic and Parade
Noon
Downtown Laona
Parade kicks off from JARS Bar and Grill at Noon. Enjoy food and beverages served at the fire house during the parade. Picnic to follow at Silver Lake Beach with food, refreshments, 50/50 drawing and other raffle prizes. Proceeds go towards the fireworks show. Showtime at Dusk.
Phillips Spirit of America Fun Run/Walk

Phillips VFW
The Phillips Lions Club presents Spirit of America Fun Run/Walk. Register online. Proceeds from this event will go to Phillips Lions community projects and scholarships. In person registration and shirt/bib pickup on June 30th from Noon to 4:00 pm and day of from 7:00 to 8:00 am.

The Phillips Area Chamber of Commerce brings you this year’s Independence Day Arts and Crafts Fair. Discover new and vintage items at your leisure.

St. Germain Independence Celebration
8:30 am to 9:00 pm
St. Germain Community Park and Downtown St. Germain
Kick off the day with the Freedom 5K and Kids 1K run at 8:30 am. Stroll through the craft and vendor fair starting at 9:00 am. Free kids games and family fun activities all day, with live entertainment beginning at 10:30 am and the parade at 3:00 pm. Reserve your spot along the parade route and bring along chairs and blankets. Fireworks take place at Dusk.
Post Lake Boat Parade
1:00 to 2:00 pm
Upper and Lower Post Lakes
The Boat Parade will begin at Twin Oaks Resort at 1:00 pm and proceed to Sunset View Resort. Dress up your boats and yourself for this event, or just come along for the ride!
July 3rd Celebrations
Tomahawk 43rd Arts, Crafts and Vendor Fair
9:00 am and 3:00 pm
SARA Park Soccer Fields
Hosted by the Tomahawk Reginal Chamber of Commerce. With over 100 vendors offering handmade gifts and goods, antiques, outdoor items and more! There will be a bouncy house for the kids, live music, a shade tent and food vendors.
Land O’ Lakes Independence Day Celebration
King’s Gateway Airport
7:00 pm
Enjoy live music by Old Pine Road Band, food and refreshments. Gates open at 5:00 pm. Arrive early to pick a spot! Music starts at 7:00 pm followed by fireworks at 10:00 pm. For more information, please call (715) 547-3432.

Boulder Junction – Downtown
Parade down Main Street will begin at 12:00 pm. Lions Club food tent from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Gates open for the fireworks display at 8:00 pm at the Boulder Junction Airport. Showtime is at 10:00 pm.
Conover Independence Day Parade, Picnic in the Park and Water Ski Show
1:00 to 7:00 pm

Parade at 1:00 pm on Town Road
Picnic at 1:00 to 4:00 pm at Conover Town Park
Water Ski Show at 7:00 pm at Lake Pleasant
Enjoy the parade and then head to Conover Town Park for the picnic. Food, refreshments, music, games for kids and a dunk tank. End your day with a festive Chain Skimmers Water Ski Show.
Eagle River Party in the Street

Enjoy live music, food and a beer garden. Spectacular parade with over 60 entrants including many specialty floats at 11:00 am.
Lac du Flambeau 4th of July Celebration
11:30 am to Dusk
Downtown Lac Du Flambeau
Lac du Flambeau’s Chamber of Commerce, LDF Business Development Corp., and the Lac du Flambeau Tribe present this Independence Day Celebration. Kiddie parade starts at 11:30 am and the Grand Parade starts at Noon. Sign up for the first annual Battle of the Bags cornhole competition, in person, after the parade.
Land O’ Lakes Three Bear 5K and 1K
8:00 am and 9:00 am
Luoto’s Fitness, Lando Center
The Three Bear 5K is recreational and welcomes runners, walkers, bikers and dogs of all ages. New this year is a Youth 1K race for those 14 years and under. Registration for 1K at 7:45 am and 5K registration at 8:30 am. Entry fee is $25 for adults and $15 for youth. All profits from the 5K will be donated to Great Headwaters Trails and the profits from the 1K will be donated to the Land O’ Lakes Community Playground.
Land O’ Lakes Independence Day Celebration and Parade
Noon to 5:00 pm
Pavilion Park, Land O’ Lakes
Enjoy the Independence Day Parade followed by a Party in the Park. It’s a traditional small-town parade with entries by business, families and organizations. Celebrate after the parade at the Party in the Park with great food, drinks, kids games and free live music.

Free live concert with The Dukes of Hudson. Plenty of BBQ and beer, a softball tournament, kids games, kids inflatables, a 20 ft tall waterslide and a 30 ft long Slip N’ Slide for both kids and adults.
Manitowish Waters 4th of July Celebration
9:00 am to 3:00 pm – Activities at the Community Center include giant kids game tent, arts and crafts vendors, trout fishing pond, food and drinks, live music and more.
1:00 pm – Parade through downtown Manitowish Waters
3:00 pm – Boat Parade at Greer’s Pier Marina
3:00 to 6:00 pm – Music in the Park, July 4th special, Koller Park
7:00 pm – Manitowish Waters Skiing Skeeter Show, Rest Lake Park

Mercer July 4th Celebration

Downtown Mercer
Enjoy the parade downtown at 11:00 am, then head to Carow Park for kids games, food, beverages, live music and more from 2:00 pm until Dusk. Finish off the day with a spectacular fireworks display at Dusk.
Minocqua 4th of July Celebration
3:45 pm to Dusk
Downtown Minocqua
The kiddie parade kicks off in front of Redman Realty at 3:45 pm, then catch the vintage military plane flyover and parade at 4:00 pm in downtown Minocqua. The Min-Aqua Bats perform at 7:00 pm in the Aqua Bowl. Fireworks over Lake Minocqua in Torpy Park will light up the night sky.
Phelps 4th of July Celebration
2:30 to 10:00 pm
Main Street and North Twin Lake
Enjoy a fun-filled parade starting at 3:00 pm and running through the main street and live music by Forrest Pike Band. See the 3rd Annual Boat Parade on North Twin Lake at 6:00 pm. Enjoy live music presented by Rebel Jane at 7:00 pm. View the fireworks at 10:00 pm over North Twin Lake.
Rhinelander 4th of July Parade & Fireworks “Salute Our Troops”
11:00 am to 10:00 pm
Downtown Rhinelander
The Parade begins at 11:00 am on Brown Street. Kids will find plenty of candy to catch on the route, and the floats will entertain parade lovers of all ages. The fireworks at Hodag Park will begin at Dusk.
Sayner 4th of July
Noon to 10:30 pm
Held throughout the Sayner area, with events in the park. Enjoy the Plum Lake Volunteer Fire Department Chicken BBQ from Noon to 4:00 pm in the park. New Classic Car Show from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Parade on Main Street at 3:00 pm. Plum Ski-ters show on Plum Lake 7:00 pm and fireworks at Dusk.
Summit Lake Boat Parade and Fireworks
10:00 am and Dusk
Decorate your boat for the 4th of July! Line up at 10:00 am. The parade will start from the west end of the lake. Fireworks over Summit Lake at Dusk.
Three Lakes 4th of July
7:00 am to Dusk
Downtown Three Lakes
The day kicks off with the Lions Club Pancake Breakfast at Three Lakes High School at 7:00 am. The parade starts at 9:00 am. After the parade, head over the Don Burnside Park for food, drinks, a market and DJ from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Tomahawk Pow Wow Days
8:30 am to Dusk
Tomahawk – Main Street
The 5K/10K Races begin at 8:30 am at Veteran’s Memorial Park with the Fun Run at 9:30 am. Registration is now open online. Lions Chicken Barbeque begins at 10:00 am on the East end of Main Street. Kids games start at 10:30 am at Veteran’s Memorial Park. Get your chairs out early for the parade at 1:00 pm starting at St. Mary’s and finishing down Main Street. Don’t miss the action of the Tomahawk Fire Department Water “Fight” on Main Street after. The raffle drawing is at 3:00 pm on Main Street. The Water ski show at 8:00 pm in Kwahamot Bay followed by fireworks at Dusk.
