SUMMARY:Gile Flowage Geology Paddle with Mike Porter
DESCRIPTION:Join Mike Porter on a canoe adventure where participants will gain sight into the ecology and geologic history of the Gile Flowage. Discussion points include the geologic underpinnings of the Flowage and the glacial features\, modification of the flowage and land use history; as well as ecological transitions from the river edge to the forest.  Some paddling experience is required.  Canoes and PFDs provided.  Registration required by 8/28/24.  Transportation will be provided from the Discovery Center.
